About Us - Community and Social Responsibility

As a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, Advance Auto Parts understands that our corporate responsibilities go far beyond providing great products and excellent customer service. We make it a priority to give back to the communities where our Team Members live and serve. The best part is our people.®

Our Values in Action

By way of the Advance Cares program, Advance Auto Parts is an active community partner. Guided by the Advance Values—Inspire, Serve and Grow—our charitable efforts focus on three key areas: Health, Disaster Relief, and Military and Civilians in Need.

During the past 24 years, Advance Auto Parts has joined with the JDRF in their mission to find a cure for Type-1 Diabetes by raising more than $44 million through in-store programs and walk events. In 2018, we will also begin our national support of the American Heart Association (AHA) with a special nationwide, point-of-sale campaign as well as participation in the Triangle Heart Walk in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In 2017, many Team Members volunteered their time and talent to help those impacted by severe natural disasters in communities throughout North America, including Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Meanwhile, Advance helped raise more than $500,000 to support the recovery efforts of Team Members and their families who were directly affected by these events.

We are also a national supporter of Building Homes for Heroes, an organization committed to providing for brave the men and women who were injured while serving their country. The organization builds or modifies homes, and gifts them, mortgage-free, to veterans and their families. Advance is proud to have raised more than $9 million for this organization since 2011. With more than 6,000 military veterans as fellow Team Members and a commitment to hire 10,000 additional veterans over the next five years, supporting our veterans is very important to all of us at Advance.

Beyond these broad-based relationships, we also engage with local non-profit organizations and events at the District level through our Community Impact Program, which focuses on addressing issues most critical to the local community. This is in addition to our New Store Charity Program, where we make a $1,000 donation to a local community charity every time we open a new store.
